"There is No Party, Like an S Club Party"

This week was Carlingford! We arrived there at around nine o'clock on Monday morning, after leaving home at seven. Straight away we were put into our rooms and told to get our water gear ready. We went down to the boathouse and got changed into wetsuits and got ready for kayaking. It was loads of fun but really cold.
At one o'clock we had a lunch of sausages, beans and chips then got ready for laser tag. To get to the arena, we had to walk up a massive hill, but it was so worth it. Laser tag was one of the best activities of the two days. Our team's instructors would give us inspirational quotes before each game, which usually made no sense and were really silly, quote the title of this post.

After that we headed back to have dinner and we had two hours of free time to go to the shops and relax. Our night time activity was a night line. This meant we had to follow a rope , in the dark, BLINDFOLDED. It was really fun and the instructors would go around growling and screaming to try and scare us.
Day two in Carlingford also consisted of water sports in the morning and team games in the afternoon. I was sick in the morning so I could not take part in the water sports but I participated in  the team games where our team of eleven people undertook challenges to win gems. Unfortunately we did not get the most number of gems, but in fairness, we did the hardest challenges.
We headed home on the bus after the team sports and were home safe and sound for an early enough, seven o'clock, Tuesday night.
Wednesday consisted of three workshops. Etiquette, Work Experience and  Personal Development. It was a really fun day and I learned a lot about myself.
On Thursday we went to NUIM  for a workshop/lecture on Student Enterprise and Mini Company. In truth, I thought this was going to be boring because I have never enjoyed business but it was actually really good.
Overall, this has been a very busy week and I've had lots of fun and learned a lot about myself, teamwork and innovation.
